When I think of the whole scary proces, to say nothing of the work, I am reminded of a cartoon in an art journal with the image showing two people at an exhibition and the comment was,'I always come to the exhibitions here; the wine is so good!' Certainly exhibitions are an opportunity to enjoy the art and to catch-up with like minded people but how many people go there to buy I am not sure. And for those who are really in the market to buy they can always explore works in galleries. But for the artists who are not in a gallery stable it is their only opportunity for exposure to their work. I wonder how many people without a 'name' sell from their websites? I admire those who like Picasso paint for themselves but without some sales one needs a reasonable income to support it all. And a thought; maybe Picasso would not have been so successful without his sister! I've got a great sister but I don't think that she'll fall for that!!!Keep up the good work Tom.
